|LDEQ Accident Number
|Point Source(s)||Notes||Amount of Release|
|Vacuum Pipestill Unit #2||Cause: No Information Given|
Notes: Leak was contained within the unit and routed to oily-water sewer (DOW) so no kerosene was released to soil or water. The volume of kerosene leaked and the subsequent air emissions were calculated and found to be less than 100-pounds (lbs) for each compound, xylene (10 lbs) and naphthalene (15 lbs). Therefore, the 100-pound RQs for both constituents were not exceeded. Additionally, the 1,000-lb LSP flammable material RQ was not exceeded, as 140 lbs of flammable VOC was emitted to the atmosphere.
|Tank 20D-12||Cause: Floating roof on Tank 20D-12 partially collapsed into the hydrocarbon product during heavy rains, releasing product to ground via the roof drain and into air via evaporation.
No LDEQ report in this file--hazmat and two letters.|
Notes: discontinued product transfers to and from tank and began preparations to remove product from the floating roof and the tank.
