Refinery states that shutdown of the Sulfur recover unit was not predictable or preventable.
Notes/Remedial Actions
Refinery was not initially granted variance by LDEQ. Is currently requesting another variance to emit more sulfur dioxide while working to adjust process controls and equipment design.
