Description: Calumen Lubricants had a very loud flare, ongoing for several hours, creating black smoke and terrible odors.

LDEQ Notes: Cause of the smoking flare and noise was due to wax in the condensate lines. Unit was shut down until wax was blown out of condensate lines. Increase in noise level due to pressure normalizing in the line. Incident lasted less than 4 hours. No excess
