Notes: Will exceed over one thousand pounds per hour. Shut down the unit and depressurized to stop leak. Leaking portion of the line was replaced.

Cause: Advised of leak of "SYNTAS" on reactor head doing shut down.

Followup: No

Notes: Previous report estimated the hole as 1/4" and calculated release of 2331 lbs syngas. However further investigation revealed that the size of the hole was 1/16" and released 146 lbs syngas.
