Cause: A leak of N-Methyl-2-Pyrrolidone developed in an insulated pipe band.

Notes: BRQ. The unit was shut down. Fluid was collected with absorbent pads. The process unit was evacuated to investigate the incident. Containment of the spill and very low vapor pressure properties of the material prevented any impact on the environment.
