Cause: the power failure is due to a failed circuit breaker. this power failure resulted in upset conditions in several Placid's process units. These upset conditions caused necessary heavy flaring until the units be could returned to the normal operations. Also the power failure caused a flange to leak in FCCU.

Notes: electrical department fixed the failed circuit breaker. Working to redesign the breaker in question.
