On 10/30/14, ExxonMobil Refinery had a leaking tube on a heat exchanger which caused ethyl chloride to be released to atmosphere. What caused the leak is still under investigation. At the time of the State Police notification, they were working on isolating the exchanger and taking it out of service. After further review, ExxonMobil had determined that no reportable quantities were exceeded during the incident.
