LDEQ received a notification from Calumet Lubricants that preparation were underway to refill above ground crude oil storage tanks within the next ten days. An LDEQ representative talked with someone out the facility who advised that an internal floating roof (IFR) tank #47 had been taken out of service when a gap was found in the seal during the annual inspection.
No spills occurred during this incident, but the information was submitted as per permits requirements.
The tank was drained and repairs were being conducted to the seal. No spills or releases.
