On 8/26/11, Conoco Phillips made a courtesy notification to LDEQ of a third party release of blow down water from Air Products, an adjacent facility, which migrated onto Conoco Phillips' Property bypassing the permitted outfall. Conoco was contacted on 8/29/11 at which time she explained how water from the neighboring facility had discharged onto her property. Air Products discharged an unknown amount of what is believed to have been boiler blow own water as a result of their boiler shutdown.
This incident was later self reported by Air Products and given the Incident number #133832. This water entered COP property and discharged to Bayou Verdine. COP is making a third party notification.
