133539 2011-08-25 | Point Source(s): Air Products Pollutant(s):Water - 0 | Cause of Problem: Other - See text On 8/26/11, Conoco Phillips made a courtesy notification to LDEQ of a third party release of blow down water from Air Products, an adjacent facility, which migrated onto Conoco Phillips' Property bypassing the permitted outfall. Conoco was contacted on 8/29/11 at which time she explained how water from the neighboring facility had discharged onto her property. Air Products discharged an unknown amount of what is believed to have been boiler blow own water as a result of their boiler shutdown. | This incident was later self reported by Air Products and given the Incident number #133832. This water entered COP property and discharged to Bayou Verdine. COP is making a third party notification. |
132451 2011-07-08 | Point Source(s): Tank 313 crude oil storage tank Pollutant(s):Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) - BRQ Benzene - BRQ | Cause of Problem: Equipment Failure The internal floating roof in Tank 313 sank in the tank and stopped controlling emissions from the tank. | Crude oil from tank 313 was removed and is being cleaned, inspected, and repaired. No LDEQ report included. BRQ: Tank 313 had all its contents removed and was cleaned so that repairs can be made, after which the tank will be put back into crude oil storage service. |
