Notes: Actual Incident Report still needs to be found. There were two NRC reports. The first said 2 bbl were released. The second said 50 were released and 40 bbl were in the water. The police report said 50 bbl were released, then changed that to 5 bbl and then to an estimated 8-12 bbl. Absorbent boom was placed to contain the spill.

Cause: Driver did not secure the drain valve on the trailer and the release was from the transfer hose.

Followup: No

Notes: According to Mr. Brian Bonds with Nalco (product shipper), the product was immediately contained on a concrete slab and removed with absorbent pads by the customer. There was no offsite impact. LDEQ report and State Police report only, no refinery letter.
