On March 1, 2014 at approximately 11:14 a.m., a pinhole leak began on the #2 Pentane line.
Pending investigation results
Upon discovery, the leak was isolated and the line was flushed with water to minimize overall environmental impact. The release was isolated and lined up to a pull down system. This incident is under investigation to determine the exact root cause and to provide mitigating steps to prevent recurrence. The reportable quantity for benzene and VOC was exceeded as a result of this event.
