On July 27, at approximately 9 AM, the plant sustained a power loss during inclement weather. Power was out for 2h 30m. The resultant startup caused the flares to exceed the maximum permitted pounds per hour release.

There was approximately 87 pounds of SO2 from flare #2 and 2 pounds of SO2 from flare #3 in the 24 hour period.
