Cause of Problem: Seal or Gasket
During operation of the G-22 unit the South Joy compressor was over pressurized causing a relief valve in the inner cooler portion of the machinery to lift. The relief valve failed to reseat properly causing a realase of 3580 lbs of Chlorodifluoromethane (G-22).
