Accident Classified As: Below Reportable Quantity (BRQ)
The most recent statement, made in a telephone interview on 5/2/12, advises that the release occurred at the pipeline regulator station when a release valve malfunctioned. However, in a previously made statement on 4/28/12, it was indicated that the plant was shut down due to loss of power.
The release valve was repaired and the quantity of natural gas released was found to be BRQ. Centerpoint is apparently responsible for the pipeline in question.
