Heavy rains caused storm water to overflow into the bayou. The containment boom for 002 was impaired and did not retain all the flushed material. Oil was released into the water allowing for a sheen into Bayou Verdine.
Due to containment impairment, stormwater retention time was not at a maximum.
Material was cleaned off Bayou Verdine. Projects were put in place to clean the triangle pond and eliminate Sabine sand from entering the pond.
