LDEQ states that a two inch union/coupling came off in the diesel transfer piping inside the dike wall at Tank 50, causing 30 barrels of ultralow sulfur diesel to spill.
Vacuum trucks that are kept onsite were used to remove the released diesel/water mixture from the dike area at Tank 50 and placed back into the crude unit that utilizes oil/water separators. LDEQ states that no offsite environmental impact was noted. LDEQ report & FIF only. No refinery letter.
