Two flaring incidents in one 24hr period: on 8/21, water boot level instrument malfunction on the Hydrocracker Unit Low Pressure Separator Drum D-105; on 8/22, level instrument on Sponge Absorber Tower's reflex drum D-114x failed. These releases exceeded RQ for sulfur dioxide.
Both incidents were caused by unanticipated instrument malfunction.
The water boot was isolated and the drum liquid level lowered.
