Faulty level alarm on the C3/C4 H2S Absorber caused a heater to trip. This caused the amine circulation to be reduced which inadvertently caused overloading of the amine system.
The level instrumentation malfunction had not previously been experienced. Immediate and appropriate actions were taken by affected process units
