According to the LDEQ incident report, a leak in the Pipestill #10 tower spilt material on to concrete.
Water spray applied to knock down vapors. Some vaporized from the tower to air. Benzene and xylene were involved and initially reported as above reportable quantity. Exxon flared material for 29 minutes from the tower to isolate and make needed repairs.
